FRED is carried by one voice, but built by many people. Artistic direction, distribution, vocal work, sound, stagecraft and supporting voices meet around the same principle: strengthen the project without smoothing away what makes it human.
Very different roles, one continuous vision. Everyone brings a specific craft, culture and sensitivity to the project.
SOUTH KOREA · PARIS
Artistic director & creative coordinator
Ji Haneul safeguards FRED’s artistic and human coherence. With a background in visual arts, cultural communication and art direction, she connects lyrics, music, images and narrative. Fred calls her “Mon Contraire” — his opposite: when he creates by instinct and overflow, Ji gives structure, direction and continuity without creating in his place.
FRANCE · PARIS
Distribution & business development
Bastien makes sure the music reaches the world properly: distribution, metadata, platforms, schedules, ISRC/UPC codes and commercial consistency. His job is to give an unclassifiable project the framework it needs without boxing it in. Fred calls him “Monsieur Il manque un champ”; Bastien calls Fred “L’Incasable”.

Remote vocal recording engineer
Kenji protects the rawest material in the project: the recorded voice. Mic position, input levels, breathing, background noise and take consistency are his territory. Fred looks for the take that feels alive; Kenji looks for the take that can actually be used — hence “Encore-une-prise-san”.

Vocal mixing & post-production engineer
Daichi steps in after recording. He cleans, balances and prepares Fred’s voice for the mix without erasing its grain, breaths or rough edges. Fred calls him “Docteur Décibel”; Daichi calls Fred “Nama-goe” — the raw, living voice.

Vocal coach
Ji Ni-Hye works on breath, placement, stability, stamina and preserving the voice itself. Her goal is never to make Fred sound smoother, but to help him keep his intensity without forcing or hurting himself. Fred affectionately calls her “Le Bourreau”; she calls him “Pépère”.

Vocal coach & live-voice preparation
Kim works with the voice when it has to hold up in performance: projection, stamina, exposed choruses, powerful passages and live versions. He looks for exactly the amount of force the song needs, never vocal display for its own sake. Fred calls him “Juste Mesure”; Kim calls Fred “Timide”.
JAPAN · KANAZAWA
Stage performance coach
Yumi works on body language, gaze, posture, gestures, silence, camera presence and the relationship with an audience. She does not build a character around Fred; she makes an existing presence readable without overplaying or hiding it. Fred calls her “La Dompteuse”; she calls him “Monsieur Présence”.

Versatile supporting vocalist & female harmonies
Fully bilingual in Korean and French, Min-Ah brings a young, precise and adaptable voice. Her trainee background gave her discipline, placement and stamina; FRED gives that precision a freer setting where it can remain in service of lyrics and emotion. Fred calls her “Miss”.
JAPAN · OSAKA
Versatile supporting vocalist & female harmonies
A former member of an independent Japanese girls band, Akiko kept a strong sense of ensemble singing, harmony and placement while regaining a more personal vocal freedom. Her sung French is highly controlled even though her everyday French is limited: with Fred, meaning and emotion are worked through before interpretation. Fred calls her “Kikoo”.

Pop-rock / chanson supporting vocalist
Antoine gives choruses and harmonies a second male shoulder. Shaped by bands, rehearsals and small stages, he brings a direct, fraternal pop-rock and chanson presence without ever stepping in front of the lead voice. Fred calls him “Titi”.

Soul / urban / reggae supporting vocalist
Malik brings ground, groove, a warm low register and a more urban breath. Soul, reggae, trip-hop, melodic hip-hop and gospel feed his counterlines, responses and spoken-sung phrases. Fred carries the story; Malik brings shadow and weight. Fred calls him “Kirikoo”.
FRANCE · ÉPINAL
Versatile supporting vocalist & female harmonies
Claire brings a close, clear and natural French-speaking female voice. She works on harmonies, responses and counterlines that open a song without overloading it, with a colour rooted directly in everyday language. Fred calls her “Montelson”.
FRED · WORKING TOGETHER
Every two months, the whole team meets for one week. The location rotates through the year: France, then Japan, then Korea, before the cycle starts again. In between, work continues by video or in smaller in-person groups. Those shared weeks are where we truly work as one team: revisiting songs, recording, refining voices and arrangements, finishing current projects and preparing the next ones.

They are not part of the permanent day-to-day core, but they are our established first call when a specific vocal colour is needed: a stable pool of voices who already know the project and the way we work.
